Engaging Students with Smart Board Technology at Cranston
High School West Library

and teachers in the 21st Century we strive to enhance learning and engage
students through using new technologies. Smart Boards are one of the
teaching tools being used to excite students in libraries and classrooms
across the country. Presented by P.J. Muer of Ambient Sound, this
workshop will demonstrate how you can use a Smart Board to engage your
students in hands-on and minds-on learning activities. Plan to
bring a teacher as a guest to share the fun and generate ideas to take back
to your school.

Darshell Silva, LMS, Urban Collaborative Accelerated Program. As
information specialists we understand the importance of research to lifelong
learning and student achievement, but how do we decide what research process
is the best for our patrons? This workshop examines various research
processes, how to select the one that meets your student’s needs, the steps
necessary to implement its use, and suggested strategies for school-wide
teaching. Plan to attend this important workshop and bring along a teacher
from your school to begin collaboration.

reports, using Lexiles, managing AV, teaching WebPath Express, creating
Resource Lists, cataloging, so much to learn and so little time. Here is
your chance to learn more about Destiny Library Manager and all its
potential. This is a series of question and answer sessions designed for
you to get the information you need to better manage your library resources
and patrons. The sessions will be held throughout Rhode Island so that all
RILINK members have a chance to attend one or more programs in the series.
